Terms of service

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. About These Terms

Welcome to Spot My Stuff. Spot My Stuff operates this website and online store and provides the information, content, features, tools, products and related services available through it (collectively, the “Services”). Our online store is powered by Shopify.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”), together with the policies referred to in them, explain the rules that apply when you access or use the Services or purchase a product from us.

Please read these Terms carefully. By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order or create an account.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when using the Services or placing an order. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Please contact us promptly at support@spotmystuff.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You must not transfer, sell or assign your account to another person.

3. Products and Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, prices and images are accurate. However:

  • colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, lighting and device settings;

  • packaging and minor product details may change where this does not materially affect the product’s function or quality; and

  • measurements, battery-life estimates, charging times, range and similar performance information are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise and may vary depending on use, settings, environment and third-party services.

Any material change to an accepted order will require your agreement. We may update or discontinue products and may impose reasonable order limits, but doing so will not affect an order we have already accepted unless we contact you and agree an appropriate solution.

Our products are intended for lawful personal use. You are responsible for checking the product description and compatibility requirements before placing an order.

4. Tracking-Product Compatibility and Use

Spot My Stuff tracking products may depend on compatible devices, operating systems, accounts, Bluetooth, internet access, location services and third-party networks or applications, including Apple’s Find My service. These requirements are stated on the relevant product page where applicable.

Third-party services can be changed, interrupted or withdrawn by their operators and are not controlled by Spot My Stuff. We do not promise continuous or error-free location reporting, an exact location in every environment, or the permanent availability of a third-party feature.

A tracking product is an item-finding aid. It is not an emergency, personal-safety or life-saving device and does not guarantee that a lost or stolen item will be found or recovered. You must not use any product to track a person, property you have no right to monitor, or for any unlawful, harmful or intrusive purpose.

You are responsible for following the supplied instructions, charging and maintaining the product as required, using compatible equipment, and complying with applicable laws and third-party terms.

Apple and Find My are trademarks of Apple Inc. Apple operates the Find My service and is not the seller of products purchased from Spot My Stuff.

5. Orders and Contract Formation

When you submit an order, you make an offer to buy the products in your basket. An automatic order acknowledgement confirms that we received your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.

A contract between you and Spot My Stuff is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation or otherwise expressly confirm that your order has been accepted. We will take or authorise payment as part of the ordering process.

We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance for a reasonable reason, including:

  • the product is unavailable;

  • payment cannot be authorised;

  • the price or product information contains an obvious error;

  • we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unauthorised resale;

  • delivery is not available to the address provided; or

  • an order limit has been exceeded.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled product and any associated delivery charge.

Please review your order and delivery details before submitting it. If you need to correct or cancel an order, contact support@spotmystuff.com as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed after it has entered fulfilment, but this does not affect any legal cancellation or return rights you may have.

Products purchased from our consumer store are intended for personal or household use and not for unauthorised commercial resale.

6. Prices, Taxes and Payment

The price payable is the price shown at checkout when you place your order, except where there is an obvious pricing error. Prices shown include applicable taxes where the law requires them to be included. Delivery charges and any other applicable charges will be displayed before you confirm your order.

For international deliveries, you may be responsible for import duties, taxes or customs charges imposed by the destination country unless checkout expressly states that those charges are included. You are also responsible for complying with the destination country’s import rules.

Promotions, discount codes and bundle offers may be subject to additional conditions and expiry dates. Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively. If specific promotional terms conflict with these Terms, the specific promotional terms will apply to that promotion.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method submitted with your order. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and the available payment providers. We do not generally receive or store your complete payment-card details.

7. Delivery

Available delivery methods, charges and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout or in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

We will deliver within the agreed period or, if no period has been agreed, within the time required by applicable law. If an event outside our reasonable control delays delivery, we will contact you where reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay. Your legal rights relating to late or failed delivery remain unaffected.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If a delivery fails because the information you supplied was materially incorrect or no one was available to receive the parcel after reasonable delivery attempts, we may charge reasonable redelivery costs where permitted by law.

The product remains at our risk until it is delivered to you or to a person you identify to receive it. If you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer, risk may pass when the product is handed to that carrier, as permitted by law.

Please contact us promptly if a parcel is damaged, incomplete or does not arrive so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.

8. Cancellation, Returns and Faulty Products

Our Refund Policy explains how to request a cancellation, return, replacement or refund. That policy forms part of these Terms. If there is a conflict, your mandatory legal rights will take priority.

If you are a UK consumer buying online, you generally have the right to cancel your order from the date the contract is formed until 14 days after the day you receive the goods, subject to legal exceptions. To cancel, you must clearly tell us at support@spotmystuff.com within that period. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or our Refund Policy states otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them. You must take reasonable care of returned goods. We may reduce a refund to reflect a loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.

Where the legal cancellation right applies, we will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back. Refunds will be issued within the period required by law, normally to the original payment method.

Products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose made known to us, and as described. If a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract, contact us. Your legal rights to reject, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund are not restricted by these Terms or by any manufacturer’s warranty.

9. Intellectual Property

The Services and their contents—including text, graphics, photographs, videos, designs, layout, product names, logos and software—are owned by or licensed to Spot My Stuff and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the Services for personal, lawful and non-commercial purposes. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, republish, sell, exploit, scrape or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written permission, except where the law permits it.

“Spot My Stuff” and associated names, logos, designs and slogans are trademarks or other protected brand assets of Spot My Stuff or its licensors. Other names and marks appearing through the Services belong to their respective owners.

10. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Services:

  • for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or malicious purpose;

  • to infringe another person’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights;

  • to harass, threaten, abuse, defame or impersonate another person;

  • to submit false, misleading or deceptive information;

  • to transmit malware, harmful code, spam or unauthorised advertising;

  • to obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to an account, system or data;

  • to interfere with the security, operation or availability of the Services;

  • to collect personal information about others without a lawful basis; or

  • to use automated tools to scrape, extract or exploit content or data in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the Services, circumvents access controls or violates applicable law.

We may take reasonable steps to prevent misuse, including restricting or suspending access. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may include links, integrations or tools provided by third parties. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy notice. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their independent content, security, availability or practices.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, but products purchased through the store are sold by Spot My Stuff. Shopify provides the ecommerce platform and payment-related infrastructure but is not the seller responsible for fulfilling your Spot My Stuff order.

Nothing in this section limits any responsibility we have under applicable law for the products we sell or the Services we provide.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are explained in our Privacy Policy. Shopify also processes certain personal information in connection with the platform. You can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for more information.

13. Reviews, Feedback and User Content

If you submit a review, image, suggestion or other content (“User Content”), you confirm that:

  • you created it or have permission to submit it;

  • it is accurate and reflects your genuine experience where presented as a review;

  • any incentive or compensation connected with it has been clearly disclosed; and

  • it does not infringe another person’s rights or contain unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, deceptive or malicious material.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Spot My Stuff a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and display it for operating, improving and promoting the Services. This licence continues for as long as the User Content is used for those purposes, but you may ask us to stop using content where applicable law gives you that right.

We may moderate or remove User Content that breaches these Terms or applicable law. We are not required to publish or respond to submissions.

14. Website Availability and Corrections

We aim to keep the Services accurate, secure and available, but we do not guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, security, updates or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may correct typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions in product information, availability, promotions, delivery charges or pricing. If an error materially affects an order you have placed, we will contact you and give you the option to confirm the corrected order or cancel it for a full refund.

15. Our Responsibility to You

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. A loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or if both you and we knew it might happen when the contract was formed.

We supply products for personal and household use. If you use a product for an unauthorised commercial, business or resale purpose, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost revenue, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, except where the law requires otherwise.

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by an event outside our reasonable control, provided that we act in accordance with any duties imposed by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded;

  • breach of your statutory consumer rights; or

  • any other matter for which liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

16. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, use the Services unlawfully, create a security risk, or fail to pay an amount properly due. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and allow you an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including those relating to intellectual property, liability, privacy and governing law—will remain in effect.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, our business practices or applicable law. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an order already accepted unless the law requires the change or you agree to it. Where a change materially affects your ongoing use of the Services, we will provide reasonable notice where required.

18. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

If we do not immediately enforce a right, that does not mean we have waived it. Any waiver must be clear and applies only to the specific circumstances in which it is given.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, but we will ensure that doing so does not reduce your rights. We will notify you if a transfer materially affects you.

These Terms, together with the policies expressly incorporated into them and the details confirmed in your order, form the agreement between you and Spot My Stuff relating to the Services and your purchase.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the laws of your country of residence.

Please contact us first if you have a concern so that we can try to resolve it informally.
